Indeed Love brings out wonders withing you. While on my way to office I was thinking of wooing my girl on Valentine's day. I thought of it much when accidentally the Shakespeare within me stimulated my mind and my hands started penning down the below poem.
This is the first ever poetic encounter in my life which took place only for her.
On the evening of 14th Feb 2010, I and my mate sat down along with all my friends for dinner. After hours of chatting with everyone I finally revealed to her that I had written a poem for her. She couldn't believe me at first. For her assurance I removed the piece of paper which had the poem. She quickly grabbed the paper from my hand and started reading it out loud before my whole bunch of friends as I was a bit too shy to express it publicly....She read it out beautifully making it even more beautiful and thanking me in the end for making her feel special....My friends were gazing at me as If they were about to ask me whether I had changed my profession from a being a comp geek to a poet.
So here goes the words...
Some thoughts get strayed when they should not be,
But I am glad I found them for you this Valentine,
just to show how much I care.
Every sunrise makes me want to feel you,
And sunset makes me cry for you,
But you make me smile before I drop a tear,
My baby now I am sure I won't fear...even when my world goes down.
We are together walking a lonely night,
Where darkness brings a hope for us and the moon makes us shine,
But I am sure I will see the stars once again,
Sparkling in your eyes.
I may not be perfect
for you in many ways,
But my darling,
I find you in every face.
I know life is hard,
I know life is not straight,
But I know life can be beautiful,
Only if we want to create it....
together...
Just the way I created it for you at this moment!!!
